electrolysis after laser

Is it a good idea to have electrolysis during the time you are also having laser? Or how long should you wait from your last laser treatment until you have electrolysis performed? I have some lighter hairs that don’t respond to laser.

Thanks,
sQ

Your larger problem will be finding an electrologist willing to work on you while having LASER done. Seems that when someone tries to do what you are doing, and has a problem, they always go after the electrologist and never the LASER person. As a consequence, electrologists usually won’t touch you until you have been 6 months past your last LASER treatment with no plans on future Lasing of the area.

6 months? I’m pretty confident I can find someone with less wait time. But thank you for your reply.

I think he meant that you need to wait six months after getting lased before you have electrolysis, but I will let James explain further for himself. Electrologists don’t have 6 month waiting lists.

If you care to give your location, maybe we can point you in the right direction.

I understood what he meant. Thank you.

Well then, problem solved. Your welcome.

Hiss Hiss SiouxsieQ!!

Anyway, I do both treatments and I let the electrologist work on an area where I do not treat the laser EVER. The laser no longer works for me, so it’s more like an expensive wax job. I slowly try and move down my shoulder to my arm, but it’s taking FOREVER. I’m wondering if the laser is somehow stimulating the hairs the were removed by electrolysis to grow again since they are right next to the area being treated. They seem to keep coming back. Oh yeah - what I wanted to say was I receive laser tx q6wks and electrolysis q2wks.

I do electrolysis on clients all the time while they are having laser. On men’s beards I do wait until any irritation has cleared.

I had read information on other hair removal boards that say one can can go from the laser table to the electrolysis table to get those lighter hairs removed immediately with no problem. Do you do this for your clients, Choice, or do you wait and observe how things heal first?

Thanks.
