Electrolysis clinical data demonstrates permanence

One of my favorite myths started by the “no-needle” epilator scams and even used by some laser hair removal people is that electrolysis was grandfathered into being allowed to claim permanent hair removal by the Food and Drug Administration. When epilators first came under regulation in 1976, there were already 100 years of clinical and empirical data indicating that electrolysis can achieve permanent hair removal.

Some even claim there is no clinical data available that shows electrolysis to be permanent. For that reason, I have compiled a list of selected published, peer-reviewed clinical papers starting in 1875. I recommend glancing at all the medical data published since 1976 (especially Kobayashi and Urushibata) to show just how uninformed these people are.

Hairfacts: Electrolysis clinical data

I just thought this post from the first year of Hairtell needed a bump up to the active topics. The myth is still being perpetuated to this day.
