First treatment yesterday and questions

Hi all,

I had my first hour treatment yesterday, and today only have minimal swelling and redness. The electrolysist recommended laser for the courser dark hair on my chin and few strays on my sideburn area - and electrolysis for the peach fuzz on my sideburn / cheek area. My question is this - I’ve heard so many horror stories about the laser promoting vellus hair growth that I’m terrified to go that route. How common is laser used in combo with electrolysis? I have a fair / medium skin tone. Should I tell her I just want electrolysis? She made me feel like it would take forever just using this method. She uses thermolysis.

i would stick with electrolysis for everything. unless you have a full coarse beard, laser will also touch the vellys hairs around, which can have negative effects. i don’t think it’s worth the risk. and laser should definitely not be used on stray hairs on the sideburns. too sparse i think.
