I’ve had just about every hair from my upper lip to my toes treated with electrolysis. I’m just about completely hairless after about 300 hours or so of treatments.
Got my unibrow done to boot.
Thinking of getting the rest of my eyebrows done - not necessarily to shape but get rid of the strays mostly underneath the main body of the brow.
i’m not exactly sure what the question is … but i would venture to guess that it would take my electrologist no more than 10 minutes to completely clear the extraneous brow hairs on both sides (first pass).
my unibrow took all of 2 minutes, and that was going real slow.
i honestly don’t understand why people pluck their eyebrows when electrolysis is so inexpensive and effective in this area (eyebrows go very quickly).
I think it’s ok, within reason. You know, I don’t want a guy to look completely unkempt with one massive, scary eyebrow. On the other hand, I don’t want someone who looks like they wax their brows to death. I think so long as you keep it looking natural, you’ll be fine and look great.
i agree. i had mine done too btw. as long as they look natural and not “done” you’ll be fine. you might want to experiment with just plucking at first or even clipping to make sure you’ll look ok with those hairs gone and to pick which you definitely want gone.
Be careful and explain and explain to your electrologist that you don’t want to look overly done. I have to actually tell her to stop doing areas. Rule of thumb for men, remove one index finger’s width between eyebrows. More may look okay but it also looks done.
you can look up advice online about the best way to shape eyebrows. usually, they should start around where the corners of your eyes are by the nose. also, for men, don’t arch them too much and keep them similar in thickness along the entire brow. i would strongly recommend trimming or plucking first once again.
As long as you don’t make them too narrow or arched too much then they should be fine. Men tend to have a more defined eyebrow ridge than women.
I would try the plucking first as has been suggested just to see how it will look.
If they did make the eyebrows too feminine looking then some particular types of people(the wierd nosey ones) might wonder if you did drag shows in your off time. I think it's just jealousy on their part myself.
