Getting my electrologist to learn 2 use her Apilus

My electrologist does blend on me with her old Clareblend Ultrablend. She has an Apilus Senior II as well that she does flash (or is it micro?) with for body work. She never learned how to do blend with her Apilus and feels more comfortable with her trusty old Clareblend.

I have a few questions. Would blend on the Apilus be more comfortable than blend with the Clareblend? If so, why? Second, how is it different than her Clareblend, what does she need to learn that’s different? I guess I assumed all blend machines are the same. Would she still be able to use ballet gold disposable probes with the Apilus Sr. II? Last, would you suggest I ask her to learn to use her Apilus in blend mode on me for a discounted rate? How should I approach it? If her Apilus would be less painful I would rather she learn to use that on me. I do want to stick to blend for my face.

My electrologist is the same way, she is using her Clareblend on me ( large area, stomach), even though she owns two different Apilus epliators.!!!

She can use the same Ballet probes with her Apilus.

Oh my. Yes, the treatments would be much more comfortable with the Apilus. A colleague in the next town switched from Clareblend to Apilus a few years ago - I can stand getting treatments at her office now.

caligirl and roma,

Might you both be going to the same electrologist?

Hmm, I never noticed Roma is also in California…

That was clue Number one for me - California!

I will never undertstand why this is happening. I can take some wild guesses, though, but I won’t do that here. Indeed, an Apilus in blend mode offers more comfort than the Clareblend. I do have a colleague that swears that her Clareblend is more comfortable than her Apilus SX-500 as has been reported by her clients that have experienced both. So, in conclusion, this is all very anecdotal and one will get many different answers. I can report that my clients all lean in favor of the Apilus Platinum as oppossed to the two other epilators that I have used on them in the past.
