healing topics

Hi,

I was hoping to get feedback from users as far as what changes they have done in their aftercare/lifestyle and even eating habits that promote faster healing.

thx,
HB

Hi HB,

I have made the following changes to promote healing, especially since the cold is setting in in England, and central heating dries my skin right up!
[ul]
[li]Increased water intake
[/li][li]Spray treated area with thermal water when skin feels uncomfortable/tight
[/li][li]Applying witch hazel & aloe vera for three days after treatment
[/li][li]Nutritional changes: taking supplements (omegas & multi-vitamins) and paying special attention to diet when time permits
[/li][li]Applying light moisturiser with an SPF of 15 (min) following the three days after treatment
[/li][/ul]

Well,

I am on an anti-inflammatory diet. It’s comprised of whole grains, no saturated fats, a lot of fish, some beans, tons of fruits and veggies. Limited dairy. In addition, I take 1 gram of vitamin C, along with vitamin A, E, Zinc, flaxseed oil and saw palmetto. On occasion I indulged in a little pasta, but that’s it. I am drinking close to 3 liters of water. I wonder if perhaps I am not sweating enough. Too much work has kept me from exercising, but I shall go back to working out 4 times/week as of next week. I am not faithful to aftercare. Right now, my main problem is not only the scabbing per say , but the whiteheads/pustules I get from treatment in many of the insertions. I am thinking because I am more prone to oily skin, perhaps I need a more drying astringent post-treatment other that non-alcohol witch hazel. SO I am switching to witch hazel with alcohol in it and getting the pure grade aloe vera gel to apply for 3 days post treatment to see if it makes a difference. I am also getting acupuncture anti-iflammation treatment to see if that helps. I’ll keep you posted.

My electrologist introduced me to witch hazel. It works so good, so I went and bought a bottle and I use it at home, works like a charm
