Help! Time management help needed!

I want to get electrolysis done on my face (beard), but have a problem. Currently, I have a job where I am out in the public and call on important customers Monday through Friday. You know, suit and tie, etc…

I want to keep the electrolysis private and having a hard time figuring out how I can accomplish this. For instance, if I have the the work done on a Friday evening or Saturday, will the redness be gone by Monday morning? Also, I need a shaven face from Monday thru Friday afternoon.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Start with a Friday evening appointment for 15 minutes making sure that the work is contained to one area, a nonconspicuous part, perhaps the underside of your chin/neck. Then, ice the area for 5 minutes, then add 1 drop of tea tree oil to aloe and have that applied to your skin.

You will be able to gage tissue reaction and healing and the small amount of work done shouldn’t be obvious to others.

There are many electrologists that have and know how to use the best professional epilators available in the 21st century. They have quality magnification and lighting to enhance that epilator and good work. It is more than possible to have a long treatment session and look like nothing even happened sooner than the next day, if not by thr next day.

Hopefully, you can pinpoint a good electrologist that will agree to see you on Friday evenings or Saturdays. Yes, do a short sample session as well to see how things go. If you give us an idea as to where you live, maybe one of us will know someone that can work on you with a high degree of expertness and keep your beard removal private.

I live in the Indianapolis, IN area. Do u know a good electrologist in that area?

You won’t know until you try it how bad the irritation will be. Some people would be able to do it, others like me, there would be no way possible I wouldn’t have redness or irritation by Monday. I’ve had my neck underneath my adams apple done and it was pretty red and irritated for a while, but most people are luckier than I am in the irritation department. If the irritation isn’t gone by Monday, there are places where you will have to travel and can get a large area done and many hours done in a weekend, but it’ll cost you alot of money.

If you go to the main forum and scroll close to the bottom, click on ‘INDIANA’. At the top of the page is a couple posts by RJC2001 who had a combination of electrolysis and laser. He hasn’t been seen here on hairtell for awhile (we miss him), but as I remember, he liked his electrologist very much. See if the information listed on RCJ’s post is still relevant. If not, you can start the interview process here:

Get those consults and samples. I’m serious. It may be easy for you to find the person that will give you good electrolysis care, I hope it is. Don’t feel obligated to latch on to the first electrologist that you visit. Be thoughtful and educate yourself first off so you will automatically know if someone is BS’ing you about what the process involves. Know what this is all about. You are more than welcome to come to hairtell if you have questions or doubts. We’ll do our best to help you out.

How closely do you need to be shaven Mon-Fri? The closeness of your shave might just be your perception. Your idea of professionalism might include a close shave, but hey, you know sometimes people frequently have skin problems. So what if you show up at your job with red pimply skin. Haven’t you ever met anyone with skin problems?

I was a little freaked before I started that people would “find out”. My experience is that people by and large don’t give a f***, they are more worried about other things. No one has ever said anything to me and I am getting close to a full clearance. No one has asked and I have never offered any explanation why if I happen to be red, etc. I have had treatments during the week as well as on the weekends.
