I just want to say that in less than a week after a huge clearance, my skin has made the most amazing recovery, thanks to Josefa’s expert treatment and advice about how to care for the area.
In the end, the steps I took were very simple indeed, and I stuck to her instructions. I kept the area as clean as possible and avoided picking and scratching anything - even if it was tempting! I tried to let the area rest, so I wore loose clothing and sometimes avoided underwear. I used the cream (Flammazine) that Josefa gave me, and finally, I used an ice pack at night to help with the itchiness. That was all! And the resulting healing needs to be seen to be believed. Nice, neat little scabs which are exactly what she told me to expect.
Just as Michael Bono said, your therapist knows best because they did the treatment, and luckily for me, Josefa’s knowledge was perfect. So, sorry for the false alarm, folks!
This outcome was inevitable, and I am glad that you are now delighted with the amazing clearance. Did you have many breaks during this marathon session?
Yes, Tealight, it was a big mistake on my part because I did not insist enough on the consequences of intensive treatment. And I feel myself responsible for the days of uncertainty that you’ve been through. I always ask my foreign clients to send photos and news of the evolving area. I do not remember if I asked you, probably not, since I assumed that because of your past experiences, you would know this. Big mistake, it is not the same deleting 1000 follicles per hour for 20 hours than 300 follicles per hour for 30 minutes. I’m sorry, but look at the positive side, your experience will help others to identify the difference.
Be careful with the ice on that area, women are very prone to urinary infections because of the cold.
Barbara, communication is difficult when your electrologist does not speak the same language as you. With Tealight it has been very easy because she is accustomed to Latin sounds, and she speaks very slowly, but …
I was stupid, I should have given her the book “Treatment Strategy”, there it was all she needed to know. Instead, I gave her a medical article that talks about the effect induced by the laser which she knows from experience.
After intensive clearance there are allways intensive side effects. In internet I saw some pictures from beard clearances and the whole face was really huge - something like Popey the sailor mans face Swollen after a intensive 4 day clearance.
And allso I allways get this white spots after every threatment…
But like always after a few days the white spots dissapear, small scabs form and it takes another few days to dissapear - altought on the buttom it can be really uncomfortable, one needs to get through
Just a quick message to say that the above is exactly how my sister´s face currently looks (after 6 hours of treatment). I´m sure that she appreciates my sharing this!
Also, an additional note to mention that the next day we could count just a few tiny whiteheads on the enire face. Given the discussion in the Laurier thread, I´m sure this is due to the probe.
