How to work with ingrown hair on ears?

Hi all,

I’m Male- 39 with some hair on ear lobes and ridge.

The ridge is the worst problem as it starting to go onto the inner ridge. If you see me you wouldn’t notice it so much because i pluck practically every day but sometime the hair is just beneath the surface…so i have to squeeze it out like a black head…then pluck with sharp tweezers.

Since the skin is constantly breaking it gets red, sore, and worse…peels :frowning: so it looks ashy. Both ears are the same.

Is there hope with this area using electrolysis? are the ears to sensitive ? What about a little further in around the inner side of the Pinna ?

Of course plucking has made the in grown hair worse.

Also… sorry if this sounds gross but…what type of hair is it that sometime i squeeze it under the skin and it pops out completely…almost like a paste. I know its not a black head because sometimes it comes out as hair and other (same dam spot) as like hair that has yet to form ? not really doing a good job of describing it sorry…

thanks in advance

~T

Gosh, how do you even contort enough to tweeze your ear hairs? That’s pretty athletic of you.

Please consider electrolysis and be done with this. A great electrologist can get you hair-free in 9-18 months. It can be ouchy for some areas of the ear, but it will be worth it. After you are finished, all you have to do is make sure that you when you see new hair develop over your life span, get them treated before they really get squirrely.
