is this proper technique?

Hi all,

I just started my electrolysis sessions last week for my chin and neck. My C.P.E. recommended Thermal removal? She does galvanic and blend but said the Thermal is just as effective, goes quickly, and is more affordable for me. I was cleared last week and was cleared again this week. She told me I will need to go weekly for 3 months and then every 5-6 thereafter.

I noticed that when she goes to remove the hair that has been treated, some glide out easily and others she takes the tweezers and uses a circular maneuver to remove the hair. Is this a common techinque?

Thank you in advance for any advice,
MrsFibs

It sounds like she is trying to pull a tough, deeply root hair out carefully so that the bulb/sheath doesn’t break off and remain in the follicle (which can result in a red bump.)

I agree with Vickie.

If you have lots of hairs close together, and some fat bulbs, as you may in the upper lip, this might be a good way to avoid overtreatment.

Thank you both for your expert opinions.
