Just making sure I'm getting it done properly

Hi everyone

So Im trying to get rid of upper back, shoulder and upper arm hair. I’m male, 25 y/o. I had 2 treatments in November 2007, then one in May of 2008 with James Walker. Yes, my scheduling wasnt an ideal one for success but because of distance and travelling I found a colleague of James who has worked along side with him slighly closer to home and started treatments in July going almost weekly to get cleared. Because she works/worked with him I felt confident in her abilities and still do. I’m sure James would agree that my hair is pretty dense. In any case, I just wanted to make sure the treatments are going as they should. I dont feel the insertions, just the zap. The hair just slides out with a bulb intact and there is minimal scarring. Shes using microflash and i think i see 125ms on the machine. Is there anything else I should be looking for? I think I may be unrealisticly expecting results quicker…I do see an improvement however but its just so frustrating when new hairs start popping out thinking how many dormant hairs are freakin living under there!!! haha .Never thought this whole process would be such an emotional roller coaster. Now my current electrologist has moved, so we are plan on doing 15-18 hrs over one weekend once a month (that would clear the whole area). Would i be missing the boat on anagen hairs? Oh and we are now using Sequential VCM i think is the name of the machine…i know thats not the exact name.

Most of my out of town clients get to first clearance, and then come once every 6 to 12 weeks for reclearances. A full clearance, once a month would be just fine for the purpose of getting you to total clearance. It just might not allow you to look totally finished in between those clearances.

i had the same idea to get clearance ones in 2 months… Isn`t it 15 hours over a weekend too much? more than skin can handle?

Not for large areas on the body. It can even be done for facial work if it is done with expert technique, if the client doesn’t mind swelling for 2-3 days.

awesome… good to know that

Forgot to mention that the elecrologist must be willing to do long appointments to begin with. Many I have talked to gasp at working longer than an hour at a time due to back and neck complaints.

One would have fewer back and neck complaints if one had read the original Bono book that had a full chapter on ergonomics and client positioning. Then there are the tools like adjustable treatment tables, and practitioner chairs, and those lovely swiveling elbow supports. Some people laugh when they see my ergonomic chair with it’s “puppet arm props” but it is the reason that I can work more hours in a row, and indeed more hours in a day.
