Marathon sessions of electrolysis.

Dee - A great idea. I hope you can find a willing client soon.

I have plenty of willing clients, stoppit! Not a problem. May start as soon as tomorrow.

Good stuff.

There are many things I would be interested in. Not just reaction but effectiveness (regrowth) and how long the insulation lasts.

The insulation is not the problem; like other probes it is the tip of the probe which usually fails first (first oxidation, then breakage), especially when short but intense pulses are applied, which, of course depending to some degree on the machine.

Hi beate, my knowledge is limited but my understanding was that insulated probes can only be used for a certain number of insertions (depending on intensity etc) before the insulation degrades?

These probes (Pro-Tech) also have a bulbous tip? I would love to see the results of your tests, Dee. Have you noticed any difference worth mentioning?

Today, I have worked in the two sideburns of a young woman. I used my favorite size, 002 short and frankly, I can not be more pleased with the lack of reaction on the surface of the skin. The binomial Platinum & Laurier I think the ideal combination.

Hi,

That depends a lot on the quality of the insulation: i have been very disappointed with the sterex insulation which fails almost immediately. The insulation ballet uses is much more robust - it usually lasts through 2 hour sessions even with size 2 while in large sizes even 6 hopur sessions are usually not a problem. In my early tests with size 5 and 6 Laurier probes i tried to resterilize the probes at 150 degrees over 90 minutes and found them usable for 5-20 hours - with the same client, of course.

Pro-Tech: i have olnly ery limited experience and the impression they need to be run at larger energy levels than the ballet probes, not to mention the lauriers. But this is hard to compare due to different size labelling betwenn the brands.

Indeed. Anyway, IMHO all epilators profit from better probes roughly to the same amount. That is at least my impression using not only the platinum but still also the junior, and both mostly with ballet and laurier probes.

I take it either black or with cream, thank you for asking. It’s such a delicious aroma and a pleasure to enjoy slowly.
