Hi everyone-I haven’t posted in awhile. I have had thermolysis on several parts of my body and am seeing great results. I started around a year and 8 months ago and either went every week or every other week depending on hair growth or how much time I could fit in each week. I originally had thermolysis done on the hair around the areolas that I have (and hate so much)…after about a year and some months I switched to blend because I thought it would be better for stronger hairs. While hair treated by thermolysis on other parts of my body, like my abdomen, have seen great results, the hair on my chest was much slower in coming around. Because of this, I started multi-needle galvanic on just the breast area. I think I had read once that the hair on the breast can be very deep and distorted and sometimes galvanic or even blend is better than thermolysis…does anyone have any experience or opinions on this? Thanks! P.S. After my second galvanic treatment I also find that the skin reaction is better…less scabbing, etc.
Again, we are discussing skill with any modality used to affect hair follicles so hair is permanently eliminated.
As a practicing electrologist that does a ton of breast hair cases, I use thermolysis only. I have used PicoFlash, MultiPlex and Synchro thermolysis and no matter what modality I choose, my clients are cleared the first and every time thereafter. Subsequently, withn 8- 15 clearances over 9-18 months, they are hands down finished.
Most hairs are ‘one and done’ . We are cooking hair follicles. There will be too many half baked hairs if the energy levels are too timid for these tough hair structures treated. I aggressively treat these hairs and I always win in the end and thus, the client always wins. Most people are 95% finished by month 12. It is one of my most favorite areas to treat. Easy-peasy.
dfahey, Does this also refer to areas on the chest being “easy” hairs? I have been sugaring this are for past 3 years once in a while. The hairs are dark, sparse, but not too coarse. I would like to start working on this area in addition to my face.
Yes, it does, Anxious! You will be so very happy. Just stop doing anything that pulls the hair out, so all hair is available to treat.
