I checked the accuracy of this story and it’s true; sort of amazing really. They don’t say where the hair is grafted from … I assume the head hair (back of the scalp). Of course, beard hair and head hair is not the same. These “mustaches” are going to look pretty odd.
What’s more strange is that one would assume that Middle Eastern men are genetically predisposed to developing facial and body hair more so than compared to Northern Europeans. It sounds like the men that get this transplant already can grow a mustache but want a super dense one? I also read somewhere that some surgeons offer chest hair transplants and there are guys that get those too but it must be not so common because we rarely hear it being discussed in public. $7000 for a mustache, that’s like a full back electrolysis!
[color:#000099]They can have my moustache hair. Please. I have shaved very near every single day of my life. My whole life since 17 years old. It’s a family thing men in our family never, ever have facial hair. It would be pure, pure bliss to wake up and not have to shave. Where can I go to volunteer…[/color]
All seriousness aside, I have my mustache because it’s the “last bastion of maleness.”
See, having a mustache is the ONLY thing left to us guys. I mean the only thing that “we can do” that “the new liberated-woman of the 21st century” does NOT want to do.
Sure, we have “fire-(wo)-men and police-(wo)-men and soon-to-have female combat troops! But the MUSTACHE? Well, so far no female wants one of these … not yet anyway!
