My Electrolysis Journey

I like long posts, I find they help me become more positive.

I didn’t realise I had a scar near my eyebrow. : s I think I will have to check that. I’ve never hurt myself when I was small there, not that I know of.

Anyway, be back later with a proper reply, got lots to do today.

Peace, I have just sent the area were I am seeing the scar.

I have just been for another 30 minute appoinment.

Today was a little different. Instead of working on the edge of the eyebrows at the sides of the face, we worked above it and below, near the eye, as I wasn’t sure about the shape that I want for my eyebrow. We also worked on the middle and a little above the eyebrows. It hurt a lot in this area, perhaps because the settings were high, which was lowered near the end.

The upper lip area didn’t really hurt, even though we did more hairs from the middle of the upper lip.

Just wish I could find a solution for acne pits/lost collagen like I did with hair.

Thanks all.

Peace, it seems that in areas near the bone, are more sensitive. Tensar much the skin makes the session more tolerable.

Try Reti-rides or Neostrata. It is very effective in old scars of acne.

Thank you for your reply, I will try that.

I had another half hour appointment yesterday and the eyebrow area does hurt a lot. I can take upper lip more than that. I do see a few little red dots but it’s probably because the settings were higher.

I was told I am getting some regrowth on upperlip so we’ll be working on that area more next week.

I had another half an hour appointment today. Seems good.

Apart fro being told I have lovely eyebrows, I asked my electrologist to for an honest opinion regarding my skin. To me it looks worse as the days go so I asked here whether removing hair would make a different to my appearance as I’d invest more time in it then. She told me that my skin tone is good and my skin doesn’t look bad at all. apart from a few open pours on my left cheek (from acne, which I find is a lot) and some pinky skin parts which will fade (which I know will as I had it before too and severly because of acne), I can expect a few bumps to come out because I have active skin because of my age.

Still, I think she was being too nice. Anyway, she gave some tips on how to look after my skin and gave me a free tub of skin peal or something. I was hesitant at first when she showed me the bottle and told her since it’s got beads in it, it will probably make my skin react (it has in the past using those things) so she was trying to find a mini sample which she didn’t have, and took out quite a bit in a tub instead. I am afraid to use it though, it’s marked for senstive skin but my skin is very sensitive.

Hiya everyone,

Just thought I’d update this thread with a pic.

I guess the after pic is a little deceiving as I still have light hairs in between the eyebrows but electrolysis has made the area look organised.

Did you remove it? :frowning:

Yep, I’ll message it to you (and anyone interested). Just didn’t want google to be picking up this pic for random visitors.

Peace, I would like to see your progress. You have followed the pattern that I sent you?

Yep, almost. I think still on one side it is a bit too much, but it looks much better than before. I’ll send you a picture.

I had another 30 min appointment today and asked if we could work on upperlip ore. She had to swith to diathermy at ties because blend wasn’t working.

I had a 30 minute appointment today. Things seem well. Had a good talk with my electrologist and we talked about laser and what’s happening. She’s quite suprised at how they’re being. She mentioned the hospital to try out laser there as stoppit has mentioned too so I think I will go for a consultation which she mentioned they charge for.

I had another 30 minute appointment today. Before I went I noticed how good the eyebrows look on the sides especially, and even in the middle. it’s like i had just gotten treated before i went in - no hair. if i didn’t go for a reduction and went for a full clearance, i probably wouldn’y have any hair in the middle at all.

can you send me pics please

Sure, I’ll take new ones and get them up.

Peace, is there a specific reason you’re having 30-min treatments weekly instead of 1 hour treatments every 2 weeks? It’s best to have long treatments, even 2 hours if you can, up front, to get a clearance. And then come in only when you see new growth.

Well I wanted the hairs to be permanently removed but I didn’t want it all gone at once as then it would be too obvious, so I’d rather it look less and less and less until gone. Just been really shy about it. I’d feel really uneasy knowing people know I took off all that hair in one go - sounds silly but it’s kinda hard to explain and long.

On the other hand one of my earliest appointments were 45 mins long. I didn’t mind a lot of hairs being removed and she also added nose, chin and sideburns in that time but was struggling to find hairs but I also think she was getting really tired. Longer appointments aren’t normal here. Otherwise I would have gone for longer ones.

I actually don’t mind going for hour plus appointments in a few weeks time to get clearance but the machine is really uncomfortable. I can take that, but I think the electrologists get tired. I have mostly tiny hairs in the middle of upper lip and that part is supposed to hurt the most, so each week she takes of about 10, maybe a little more now, because she doesn’t want me to go through that much in that area where there ae tiny hairs but so many of them, but I dunno. UK is a little different in this timing thing.

I went in today for a half hour appointment and my electrologist told me it’s looking good and soon I will be booking 15 minute appointments. She says that especially about the eyebrow area. The upper lip still has regrowth.

We did more diathermy on the moddle part where I have tiny tiny hairs.

I asked her about adding my chin to it as I feel the hairs are noticeable so she said she’ll add that next week of the noticed ones with diarthermy. So I booked ina 45 minute appointment. I am getting more fond of my electrolysis place.
