I am going to keep at it and see how well it goes. Possibly do a little more sampling around. Oh and I have searched LAgirl, boy have I ever. Thanks to electrolysis I have seen areas in San Diego I never had visited before LOL. M_D your lucky you don’t have any heavy stuff. I got most of that cleared but now I need to get rid of the layer of lighter but long hairs.
Another 2 hours done on the right side. Just got some more of the regrowth. My practitioner keeps telling me she likes how things are progressing and she’s amazed at how little regrowth there is. Of course, since I’m a cynic I keep thinking that she tells everyone the same thing in order to provide them with some kind of psychological reassurance. But then again, I’m a little nutty. Quite frankly I have no idea how much regrowth is average. I think things are moving along at a decent pace though.
I will be booking my apps for the next month next time I go in.
Psst, since most electrolysis providers have never had a person really go at it full force to get to first clearance in 6 weeks or less and then try to maintain it, when someone does, it seems as if a miracle is happening.
Ya, been a little lazy with the updates. Anyways, had another 2hrs done on the left side and another 2 hours on my right side. My left side is looking great, just a tiny chunk left at the very bottom to get rid of before being totally clear there. We’ve been keeping up with the regrowth on that side as well. We’ve also been keeping up with the regrowth on the right side which is also looking good. I’ve booked myself up for the month of October. My sessions are all pretty much 2hr stints. I think I’ll be averaging something like 3hrs of treatment per week. I think I will be moving onto other areas (e.g. shoulders) while we keep pace with my back. My electrologist is on board. She said she’s willing to work on whatever I want just as long as I keep showing up:D She’s super friendly and open in this way which is great. I’ll try to keep updating this thing as much as possible.
I’ve spent $2850 total. Actually, probably a bit less than that. Expensive for sure, but the cost is spread over 3 months so it makes it somewhat easier to manage. Not sure how much longer I have to go before I’m done for good. I still feel that I am making progress, so I will continue marching ahead.
Yes, onward march. Don’t give up at 48 hours. The last back case I did (I mentioned this several times here) took about 80 hours and $4,000 spread out over 14 months, upper arms included. In no way am I saying that this will be the outcome for you, but rather am making the point that you are getting closer with each appointment.
I’m thinking you have not been cleared even one time, so you are not in the maintenance phase yet, but with 48 hours behind you, you may be getting pretty close.
Well the areas that I’m receiving treatment on have been cleared. I believe all that is left is a tiny patch on my low back on the left side. I’ve basically had the area from the top of my lats to my waistline cleared on both sides. We have excluded the spine since the hair there is too fine. My practitioner also says the stuff on my upper back area is too fine to get into. I have not had anything done on my upper arms/shoulders yet either. I plan on tackling that area pretty soon, though. But yes, we are just going after regrowth while finishing off that last little bit on the left side. Personally, I think it looks a whole lot better than before I started. Just need to keep plugging away. I don’t think 3 months is enough time to evaluate the efficacy of the work being done.
Time was split between capturing some regrowth on my right side and starting to work on some of the stuff on my upper back/back of neck area. Basically trying to pick out the longer and darker hairs among the finer stuff. I don’t think it would be feasible to get each and every single tiny fine hair. That would be an absolutely enormous undertaking.
At the end of this month I will have averaged about 3.5hrs of work per week. It’s not much, but most of it was dedicated to finishing up first clearance on the lats and catching up on regrowth.
This following month I will be working on regrowth of course but also tackling some new areas. I have already pre-booked my November. I will be averaging 5.5hrs of work per week. I’m hoping we will hit everything hard once again. I’ve got a lot of areas to work on so it only makes sense.
In today’s session we started a new area (back of left shoulder). We also caught some regrowth on the left lat as well. Another 2hrs in the bank.
Another 2hrs in the bank on the left side. I believe I might have had another 2hr app between this last one and the one on the 22nd. I will have to check my records. Anyways, hit up the left side again.
Next week we’re gonna have to really hit the right side hard as I can visibly notice the regrowth coming back in.
I’m still alive and well (and most importantly, still going to my electrolysis treatments).
Anyways, this month I’ve done about 8 hours just going back and forth on the left and right side. Haven’t returned to the upper area/shoulders since last month. I’m just trying to remain positive about everything as this is such a long-winded process. I’ll try to post a more detailed response near the end of this month.
Well, it’s been a while since I last posted. I’m now into my 7th month and I’m still going strong. Basically still working on the regrowth on the back and maintaining clearance. We haven’t touched any other area yet (i.e. shoulders). I’ve been averaging about 4-5 hrs per week every month. Probably just enough to keep on top of things in the areas that I have cleared. Subjectively, I think the amount of regrowth that has been coming back has diminished compared to a few months back but it’s hard to tell for sure. Like others have mentioned you tend to forget where you started from and precisely how much hair you had to begin with. Sometimes it feels like an agonizingly slow process, but there’s not a whole lot I can do about that. I think we all want quick fix to our life’s problems. But it just doesn’t seem to work like that. I will post another progress report once I hit the coveted 9th month mark.
Thanks for being faithful to your HairTell hair journal.
Hopefully, you will see this post before you come back for your next update, but I’ll go ahead and ask this: now that you are into your seventh month, I wanted to ask you how many hours have you invested so far? costs? Did you ever post pictures here pre-electrolysis?
