NEW-B HELP

Hey yall, Ive been looking around the forum and its very interesting! Im a young dude 20s in college so I dont have alot of money. Ive read about the vector machine and how it is cheap and can be modified to work. What are other cheap options Im not very ebay savvy so is there one I could get with everything done for me no assembly just get it and go. I know I will have to read alot and Im prepared. Im mostly looking to remove hair in the southern area if you know what I mean;). Any help would be awesome guys thanks.

I forgot to mention to what Ive been reading is that there are so many flippin methods too like thermolysys, electrolosys, a blend and a bunch of others too and it sounds like the expensive ones are the ones that can do all of em. And also thermolysys seems to get a bad rep if your a rookie so in my case it would be a no for that method?

Thermolysis takes more skill and can go pretty badly if you messed up. Galvanic takes so long to treat each hair that if you over-treat by a few seconds then it’s not a big deal.

So both modalities work, but galvanic is much slower and safer so it’s how most of us newbies start.

What we advise is that one get a good electrolysis text book or two, or three, and read them from start to finish. Get a professional machine that does all 3 types of electrolysis (it makes a BIG difference) and start out working in galvanic only until your insertions are good. At the point where the insertions are no longer tentative, and breaking skin, you step up to blend, which will get you from needing more than a minute per hair, down to about 30 seconds per hair. When, and if, your blend work gets to a point of competency, one can move on to try thermolysis, but keep in mind that although thermo can reduce your treatment time to 3 to 4 hairs per minute, it is more unforgiving of your errors, both in the insertion, and in the selection of the treatment energy. Many home users never arrive at the point where they ever use thermolysis. The price for messing it up is too great to risk on anything other than leg work.

Thanks alot guys that was exactly the answer I was looking for in regards to the types! You are cleary experts of this field. Im gonna go out and say my price range is around $500 range is it possible to get a good machine for this price that does those 3 skills? and where could I get these books any names you would highly recommend? Thanks:)

Yes, you can get nice machines for $500. Obviously if you have $1,000 to spend you are even better off, but it not necessary.

You want to buy Mike Bono’s “The Blend Method: Real World Electrology” and maybe Meharg and Richard’s Cosmetic and Medical Electrology.

Watch the Legitimate Machines offered on Ebay thread for good machines to purchase.
