I have been a Registered Nurse for 15 years. I live 80 miles away from the closest electrologist. I live in a town of 6,000 with many small towns around my town. I have searched and searched on google for information on how to get started, with little success.
I live in Kansas and Kansas states:500 hrs. or 1000 hr. apprenticeship; Examination; 2.0 CEU’s every 2 yrs.
Minimum - 17 yrs. old, High School or GED Equivalent if under 25 yrs. old

I am sure James and the others would agree, find a school that trains on computerized machines. As for the business part, the schooling with help with that as well as your state laws.

This profession always needs well-trained, technically modern electrologists, especially in the smaller communities, so people don’t have to spend time and money traveling. If you do this, be sure to study equipment issues and ask advice before buying so you can serve yourself and your clients well. Buy the best and always work hard to be above medicore performance.
