i think my tech used a smaller probe b/c my hairs are pretty thin, and boy did it hurt! If she increases the probe a size will that probe be too big for the size of the hair. I am waiting for her reply, but she is not good at answering questions. I swear I would quit if it weren’t for your replies and some peoples expierences! I feel plucking sometimes, but I think not every insertion can be perfect and most are not felt. I asked if the hairs coming in that are so thin are previously treated hair and she couldn’t or didn’t anwer teh question???
You want a probe about the same size as the hair, but if one has better magnification, one can use a probe that is larger than the hair, and reduce the “point effect” that smaller probes have, and thus get more comfortable treatments.
it was a point felt, but also the juice seemed to burn through that probe like never before. could that be true? thanks james!
Yes, that is what you were probably feeling (it is also possible that the setting was a little on the high side). Electrologists know that if you wanted to torture your enemies, you would tie them down and insert a number 2 probe and turn the machine all the way up.
You are welcome, and I hope you get clear soon. Thank you for participating in the forum.
ok, she said she went up a probe size b/c she was out of 3’s. why did it hurt so much more? i’m still sore? she said everything else the same? i usually want to sleep! I think i drank enough water too
Usually, when one selects a larger size probe, the correct treatment energy goes DOWN, as one has more surface contact with the probe. I believe she should have adjusted the settings accordingly with the probe change. Of course, many schools never get around to discussing such things.
thank you!!! i knew that something wasn’t right and she made me feel like this is how it’s always been. damn it hurt too! now i will ask!
