Removing Beard Shadow

Hi,

I’m a male in my 20s and have a rather coarse and dark beard. I have to shave everyday. Even after I shave, I can still see a shadow where my beard was. Is it possible with electrolysis to get rid of the shadow and make it so that I won’t have to shave everyday? I’m not necessarily looking for full beard removal as I would like to keep the option of growing a beard if I ever wanted one in the future. I just want it to not grow as quickly and that when I do shave, I want it to look clean.

If it is possible, how long would a procedure like this take?

If you can find an electrologist that is experienced enough to do your work and has invested in the best technology avaible today, yes it is possible. Nothing will be easy, inexpensive or quick. THe advantage with electrolysis is the ability to select individual hairs to decrease the amount of hair you have.

Good laser hair reduction care could speed this up, but it too can be a tough mountain to climb. You will still need a professional, modern electrologist to even out the hair growth in the end.

It will take more hours for electrolysis used alone than for laser. Both togther would speed things up, but both need 1.5 years at minimum because of hair growth cycles, something you or a practitioner cannot control. You just have to go with the flow with those hair growth cycles.

Make your plan, find the best practitioners for both modalities and then be very patient. You will be rewarded for years to come, because we are talking permanent here. If I were a man with your situation, I would move heaven and earth to lessen the hair on my face. This can’t be comfortable for you.

Hi:

I was watching an old episode of Dragnet the other day,
mostly since it makes me laugh. I noticed how dark a beard
shadow Jack Webb who played Joe Friday had. I can see how
some people might not like that look, having a face that
looks like a dirty oil rag.

I second what Dee said about the laser and electrolysis.
That was the route I took. It may take you a while but you
can stop when you are happy with what you are left with.

In my experieince, I have been able to deliver a 20% or more permanent hair reduction with one full clearance of the beard. The person would be bare faced for about 3 to 4 weeks after the clearance. Then, one can increase the reduction at will by having more clearances spaced at least 12 weeks apart. Depending on the person, that would require 15 to 35 hours the first time.

35 hours, wow! :o Is that 35 using a picoflash and surgical magnification? And I thought my 16-18 hours for a full face first clearance was bad.

I had no idea 20% would be eliminated with the first clearance.

Heck since noone mentioned this option I’ll jump out here & say there’s nothing much better than a close shave done with careful routines. My suggestion here now might be out of character for me as I believe Electrolysis is good anywhere discounting mucous areas of course. James time I think is good by the way. There are more than one method to a close clean shave. My beard is heavy except where both cheeks are cleaned permanently & a slight fine line directly underneath my nose accross the top. The rest is blade city. I experiment monthly with some form of new machine to wet shave with blades alternating with electric shaves twice per week to rest the skin from blades. I exfoliate first always with hot water & a mildly abrasive scrubber like St. Ives gentle. Hot water & more hot water & go over all areas constantly rinsing using favorite slickum & then go against the grain all over & check the missed areas & hit them again. Hot rinse to cooler & pat dry.Daily potions on & out the door to work or out to fell more trees on the ranch or if I’m lucky get to kiss a pretty woman after such a shave. Pearl…
