Simple question (hopefully with a simple yes or no answer)
Does shaving negatively effect my electrolysis treatment?
ie will shaving put the progress I have achieved back?
Thanks
Rob

NO
Can shaving back hairs to bald?
Not only won’t it hurt your progress with electrolysis, your electrologist may require you to shave a few days before your treatment so the hairs are the right length for them to work on. Likewise, make sure you don’t shave too soon prior to your electrolysis appointments, so there is adequate growback (length) for your electrologist to see and work with.
I would definitely discuss this with your electrologist, and ask them what their preference would be; some electrologists prefer less growth, some more (and those with lesser vision equipment will usually need more than those with better vision equipment.)
Other electrologists advise not shave, because that will remove all hair from the area (except those that are in exogenous phase). This reduces the number of visits to electrologist´s establishment.
I like it when my clients shave 3-5 days before treatment, but it is up to them as I can handle their hair problem either way. Some women NEED to shave their facial hair everyday or their secret will be revealed. Many of my ladies with thick man hair, shave in the morning and show up at 5pm ready to go. That’s how fast that hair peeks through to the surface. They have no choice but to shave.
I am one electrolologist that likes shaving prior to electrolysis.
