Smooth From The Get-Go

You know I was thinking, If one was having full clearances each and every time, at the right intervals, wouldn’t the client remain generally smooth throught the whole process?
I know that there will be a few mils worth of growth between visits so the electrolygist will ahve something to grab but one wouldn’t be the hairy beast one usually is, right?
If this is the case, it’s reassuring. Knowing that even though you and the electrologist know how hairy you are (soon to not be), that everyone else may never know!
So instead of thinking “in 2-3 years I’ll be smooth” , I will mostly be throughout the whole process. If I am wrong, by all mean correct me! J

You are correct. Getting a full, first clearance makes you feel fabulous and hopeful from the get-go. Many of my clients look like they never grew hair “there” and they enjoy a period of time when they don’t have to shave or clip. It’s our little secret. I never like to see anyone leave my office with hair. It is cleared each time they come if they will just unleash me. It’s their call, though, but that’s what I advise. In order to do this, more than 15 minute appointments are needed at a time. More time up front and closer appointments together = less time on the table with appointments placed farther apart toward the end.

I think that it is worth noting that your electrolysis provider can see hairs that no one else notices with the naked eye. It is possible to clear an area, and while the client still looks clear, the electrolysis provider can reclear the area, even before the client sees any hair to work on with his or her unassisted eyes. If one were to work this way, then one would be able to live like one never grew hair there almost from the very beginning.

That’s the BEST way to do electrolysis. If you get a clearance soon after you start and maintain it like you’re supposed to with frequent visits to start, you’ll be done much sooner than 2-3 years. It would be around 12-18 months.

I’ve been getting electrolysis for about a year now and I always have almost no hairs. granted, there are a few of them (like near the brow) but I can’t even see the hairs that my electrologist is treating now

Thanks for the replies. This mindset helps so much more than “ugh, even once I get started, I still have to suffer furriness for 2 years before I am happy” Thanks, J
