starting electrolysis on face

I wish I could pull you through my computer from New Zealand. She probably doesn’t want to be bothered because those hairs are hard to see UNLESS you have the right set up to see them.

I am just about to begin a three hour session on a woman’s peach fuzz who I have been seeing for a year. She’s looking very good and stable. She knows that every hair will not be gone, nor should it be gone, but the thinning she has received is very satisfactory. I think she looks great, but she wants more thinning on specific areas.

Either she can’t see or she doesn’t agree with your request.

Is there someone else??

I’m glad Dee offered her comments, because I’ve read many times where she happily and easily treats these fine vellus hairs. Anyone who chooses not to most likely cannot see them clearly, or doesn’t feel it’s worth your/their time and money. For either reason, it’s time to look for another electrologist who will treat you as you request.

Thanks guys. Most reassuring. I wish Dee could pull me through the computer too. I have cancelled appointment with this woman as I believe you are right - in the too hard basket and she does not want too. She told me that only terminal hairs could be treated but when I said (jokingly) shall I pluck and come see you in two years she said “no they are even harder to treat”. In other words vellus are hard work not untreatable as she originally said.
I am holding out high hopes for my appointment next week . Details of this woman: holds british qualification of DRE ( so extra training). Thermolysis ( flash) but on new Zealand built older electrolysis machine.
Apparently is a peach fuzz expert. Unfortunately my upper lip is still not properly healed so I will not treat there. It looks like it will heal but just needs time.
Thanks for reassuring me I look like my 121/2 year old son he is now developing facial hair. Actually I am probabltba bit worse than him. But anywY that is what it looks like pyoung boys hair. Lol no thank you!!

Have had 1/2 hour treatment today on side of face. Yesterday 1/2 hour treatment on chin jawline. We stayed away from upper lip as skin is still healing and there is some pigmentation now too. Pressure points of chin are the same. They don’t look too bad but I am pleased we left them alone rather than aggregate the skin.
So far all looks good. Have small insect type bite marks in the areas treated. Have applied ice pack and aloe Vera gel. Wiped area with witch hazel tonight as well.
Time will tellbut hopefully Ll will be ok.

Three days after treatment and my skin looks great  I feel really happy with this woman!!

Great news!! I sincerely hope you continue seeing excellent results.

Hey kiwichic where in New Zealand do you live??

Fellow New Zealander here  I know the extent of trying to find good electrolysis and laser here, not for the weak-willed!!! I’m so happy everything is going well for you!

Hi Nevay,

In the deep dark south!! Down in Dunners - how about you? I never realised how hard it would be to find a good electrologist!

where are you located? Have you found anyone good?

Just had another hour on face. Upper lip, chin and jaw line. Skin looking good - now three days after. Small amount of scabs on upper lip on one side only. But really only three or four scabs.
Chin is noticeably different now. Really pleased. Upper lip still more to go but is slowly looking better. I feel positive that this will work and I will feel better. Goodbye Chewbacca hello me!!

Had 1.5 hours on face. Skin has responded really well. Since I have changed electrologists I have not had a bad reaction with my skin
Chin is noticeably better. I still have sooo much to do which can be frustrating but overall I feel very positive with the results thus far.

Really good to hear you’re getting such excellent results, Kiwichic.

Update. Been a while but I am starting to feel so much better. I did the dreaded and looked at face in sunlight in mirror. Am feeling very happy. There us a Huge difference esp chin!! Yay am really starting to see a difference now. About 6 months so far.
