I was just wondering what everyone thoughts are in regardss to Thermolysis vs Galvanic. I have been told that thermolysis isnt effective in permanent hair removal and that Galvanic is the only slow but sure way to remove hair permanently. Just wondering if the information I have been given about thermolysis is correct or not and if not whats the advantages of both?
I do not agree with that statement. The thermolysis is as effective as the galvanic.
Look at these pictures:
Honestly do you think the galvanic exceed these results? The area in the red square is what you see in the second image. Only had a first clearance, but I can assure you that most of the hairs treated are permanently deleted.
Oh by the way! they were treated with thermolysis.
Who told you this?!
If you go the galvanic way for all this hair, you will give up shortly after you start - guaranteed! Galvanic is effective, BUT SO IS THERMOLYSIS (I’m shouting here)!!! I am 100% NOT in agreement with that statement and the person that told you this should be ashamed to make such odd and untrue statements.
We certainly hope that consumers take any blanket statement given to them and do the research.
If only one modality or technique worked, then we’d all be doing the same modality and/or technique. Consumers should be aware that electrolysis treatments are as effective as the skills of the electrologist allow. While there are the modalities of galvanic, thermolysis and a blend or sequential application of these modalities, electrologists utilize possibly hundreds of techniques with the dozens of epilators available…resulting in the permanent elimination of hair.
These are all good points you all make, I think the electrolgist that told me this was just trying to steer me away from using any other electrologist…
She wouldn’t have to do that if she was comfortable using ALL THREE modalities of electrolysis - Galvanic - Thermolysis - Blend. They all work well to kill hair. The main thing people want is to get the hair off fast, safe and with as little discomfort and skin side effects as possible. She is thinking of her best interests - not yours.
