Time Money And more time

Alright well I have a few questions. I am from Ohio. I am a male and i have a slight unibrow. I am keeping it from doing so. It is very tiring every morning waking up and taking care of it. Definitely lowers your self esteem as well. I was curious, how long does it usually take to take care of a unibrow? (On average). Also how long should you wait to let it grow in before going to a electrolysis? Could you make it look less bushy, to where it looks neat and nice but without looking femaleish. I am a teenager, age 15 who does some bodybuilding so i do take supplements which have supplements in them. Now the unibrow problem as been a problem ever since 7th grade but i started bodybuilding last year (freshman year), and the supplements have hormones in them. Could this defect the electrolysis, or should i stop taking them prior to the appointment. Any other details would be great.

The hair doesn’t need to be long and it takes roughly 15 to 20 treatments spaced out over 9-12 months. It can be thinned to make it look less bushy, indeed. That is the beauty of getting electrolysis - the pinpoint accuracy is great for choosing certain hairs and leaving others alone.

Are you taking these supplements on your own? Any medical support involved with your decision to do this?

Dee

Are you even able to get hormone supplements (legally) without a doctor’s supervision? Or are these supplements just to trigger the body to create its own?

Thanks a lot for the assist “Kashmoney”! If more people would shoot a link or cut and paste like that, the job of the pro’s around here would be much easier.

This is relatively easy to do. Dee is from Columbus and can do it or can probably recommend someone close to you who can do this.

On a side note, be careful of anything that you take that affects your hormones. it can cause changes later in life especially since you’re going through puberty now. I mean changes such as growing hair on areas you don’t want like the back and upper arms etc besides internal problems.

If they are over the counter supplements, I really don’t think they have any hormones (androgens or testosterone specifically) in them. The supplements you take, if I’m following you right, kind of help just keeping in positive nitrogen/amino balance to readily replace muscle damage from a session). But, do know that heavy training in general, will increase testosterone levels in males in general. Just inately out of the body’s need to react to more tissue repair than usual. It’s not a real big increase over the norm, but it happens.

Your ‘unibrow’ hair growth is probably genetic, and you would have grown hair there anyway. Get the electrolysis now and you will be happy you did. Hair is hair, whether it grows now or ten years from now, and it’ll prevent a lot of plucking down the road. The supplements won’t hinder electrolysis, because the hair was predetermined to grow there before you were born. Having electro will actually make you look less feminine that if you plucked. A good electrologist can shape you eyebrows once and for all in a masculaine type of way, probably better than you can do day in and day out. Plus if there is regrowth after a couple of sessions, it’ll probably be finer, and more natural looking than if you were to continue plucking.

My advice? Keep up with the lifting. I lifted from 13 years old well into my thirties. Over time, the bone density and muscle infrastructure become permanent. So I haven’t lifted in ages, but still have the mass. It’s kind of like investing. Do that too. But stay away from the juice. Anyone who lifts semi-seriously battles steroid demons at one time or another. Now those can give you problems down the road. Baldness, inability to have kids, gaining huge amounts of fat when you go off them, liver problems, and loss of bone mass. The 100% of the people I know now that did juice when younger, all now regret it. Stay natural, vary your workout, sleep well, and watch your carbs.
