why doesn't it work?

I dont have heavy hair growth, just a few black and stiff hairs on my chin that made my skin break out if I plucked them. I did electrolysis on my chin for about a year. It was working - by the end there was barely anything to do at my monthly appointment. But then I moved, and I stopped treatments. I plucked the few, fine hairs that occasionally grew in. Slowly, they got darker and quicker to grow in, until I was back where I started and, despite the financial burden, started again. This time my electrologist used the “blend” method. Its been eight months, of treatments every three weeks, and NOTHING. No noticeable improvement. The only change has been that my skin seems to be getting more and more sensitive. It used to not bother me much at all, now I’m constantly asking the woman to stop, or turn down the juice. She uses a lidacaine spray, but it barely helps. Whats the deal?

Can you try some other electrologists. We are all different in what we can deliver. Many electrologists have upgraded to better technology and you may find that another electrologist can deliver more comfortable treatments with noticeable results. Ugh.

I would definitely try a different electrologist if you are not seeing good results. It is very possible that your current electrologist is not doing the Blend properly. The electrical currents and timing in the hair follicle must be at the proper levels to see results. It could be that the settings are too low or she is not in the follicle long enough. There are many great professionals who will get good results for you. Be sure to let us know how you are doing.
