There’s nothing to forgive you for. You’re not doing anything WRONG. But we’re insecure just like you, and so it’s just inevitable that a group of insecure people will start to argue for the title of “Who has the right to be the most insecure.”
I’m not mad at you, nobody is. We just want you to understand why we have a different opinion of you, that’s all.
And for the record, I’m sure my facial features are infinitely worse than yours. I’m not sharing any photos, so you’ll just have to trust me on that one. Hehe.
I had a 45 minute appointment today to include chin.
Had to wait for 15 minutes as someone else was inside so I was thinking, if only I could get my 15 minute back from one of my earlier appointments when I arrived late coz of the train.
I went for a half hour appointment the day before yesterday and my electrologist told me that I can really cut down the time because the hair is very less now and I can see that myself. I’m very pleased with the results. Just wish I could try and get more focus on the chin because I do have a lot of hairs there which I notice, but I won’t focus on that much right now.
Will have a weeks break then go the following week for another appointment.
Picoflash system is amazing. We can treat fine hair in three thousandths of a second with a pair of pulses. Difficulty in the upper lip and / or lower when the hair is very thin, you get an insert imperceptible. Extending the area thoroughly, this will help open the follicle entrance, and the needle will slide without being noticed. Avoid any sense prior to the current output is very important.
Trying follicles close together helps to numb the area because it interrupts the nerve impulse. I’ve proven myself when one of my colleagues have worked on my upper lip.
You feel less pain (due to the current) if you do not feel the needle insertion.
To this end, this is very important to extend much skin area because the hole in the follicle is flexible and it can be dilated.
As Dee said recently, pressure from the fingers of your electrologist in your skin prevents a lot of pain.
Moreover, working in follicles close together (low intensity thermolysis) increases slightly the temperature of the skin and the warmth that you have is lower.
Also paid for the next 9 hours. Was worried that after this, I won’t be able to afford any more treatment. My electrologist said to me the hair is looking very good right now and that I should be able to come for half an hour, once in a month, and that way we can see what hairs are coming back too. I’m still thinking about that.
I also asked whether they’re going to get a Apilus any time soon. She told me she’s going with the owner to Birmingham for a electrolysis course on the Apilus next week and really wants to get the probe insertion right. She said they’re not looking to get the time which calculates how many follicles were removed etc. because so many people have been returning it because of the extra software on the machine which crashes. So she said the sterex one looks good, and we laser people can go to her to get laser areas done with electrolysis! Woohoo. I’d prefer it anyway since I don’t like laser (too painful).
She said there are many types of Apilus machines. Some for example, have so much software built into them that it causes it to crash. For this reason, many people in the UK have returned them.
However, she said the sterex one seems to be more stable. I asked for a more pain free machine. She replied saying that the type of Apilus she wants is what focuses on the client i.e. more hairs are being removed/speed is faster, and as less pain as possible.
I disagree. If one encouters a bug in the software, that can be dealt with and Dectro is very good about serving their customers. I have been very pleased with my Apilus Platinum. What is really neat, I can use a cable wire from my laptop to my epilator to update my software, as needed, right from my office. No need to send the whole unit back to California or Canada. Now, I have to admit that I choose to have my son next to me in case I need help. All in all it is a very simple process. Again, a technician is available to walk you through, if necessary. I have only had to do this once in two years. I don’t trust that “many people” statement very much. Sorry.
Upper lip is a sensitive area. It hurts on any machine. It won’t be completely painless. You can use a numbing cream.
If you think coming in for 30 mins once a month will leave you cleared each time you leave their office, then why not. I think you should concentrate on getting that clearance each time you leave the office, especially if you only come in once a month.
Yeah, I’m not too fussed about when I’m going it. It is going quite well but I want these chin hairs gone too, but I’m not going to make that a priority.
Dee, you’re probably right. I think next week they’re going to take a look at all the machines and test them out, that way they will actually get to see what they’re like. They’re not keen on some types of Apilus machines, but I guess once they see them they might change their mind on which one they’ll get (if they do) because it seems like just what others have said about it which is what has put them off some types. Let’s see how it goes. Hopefully they will invest in one. I’m not fussed about some pain, but if it’s less than diarthermy and blend, I’ll be happy.
